Japanese Character code conversion Support

I am new to the Mule Development.I want to know Japanese character code conversion is supported by default in Mule?If so,How to do it?please explain me with some examples.

Thanks for your reply.Can u provide me list of supported character code formats(like UTF-8...) for mule.If possible give me some links regarding this.

It depends on JRE version. You can find it on docs.oracle.com.
